Out of all the types of meat, we recommend purchasing rib-eye, strip and tenderloin since they tend to bring out the most flavours after grilling. However, you must also look for good marbling since they tend to be more juicy and tender. The perfect size for grilling meat must be at least  1 1/2 to 2 inches thick to form a nice crispy crust without overcooking.

Prepare your meat.

Once you are done picking the perfect cut, it is now time to prepare the meat. First, you need to place the steaks on a paper towel-lined pan and let it dry. Keep in mind that too much moisture will prevent searing and cause flare-ups as a result. Allow the steaks to adjust to room temperature for 20 minutes for them to cook more evenly.

Prepare the grill.

Preparing the grill is an important part of making the perfect flavoured meat. The first thing you must do is remove all the food residue using a grill brush. This is needed to avoid any flavours from blending with the meat and keep them away from bacteria at the same time.

Once you’re done, lightly coat a paper towel with olive oil. With the use of tongs, spread them on the grill to enhance the flavour while cooking.

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 of red onion, chopped
